Chef Daniel Boulud spent his childhood on his family’s farm in Lyon, France. It was here that he developed a fondness for cooking with local, seasonal ingredients. Incorporating seasonal produce and other local ingredients is a practice that he continues in his work today. Classically trained in French cuisine, Boulud is one of America’s most seasoned and awarded chefs and restauranteurs and is the winner of various James Beard Awards, and a total of 4 Michelin Stars amongst all his restaurants.

Located on Park Avenue in Manhattan, Daniel has been serving up traditional French cuisine since it opened in 1993. Specializing in traditional French cuisine, Daniel focuses on incorporating fresh, seasonal ingredients, as well as the finest meats from around the world into its ever-changing seasonal menus. Guests can elect to choose from a Three Course Prix Fixe Menu until 6:00 pm or a Four Course Prix Fixe Menu at any time and will find exquisite options to choose from. Some of these options include; Citrus Cured Hamachi, Parsley Crusted Littleneck Clams, Santa Barbara Foraged Seaweed Salad, Peekytoe Crab Salad, Poached Black Sea Bass, Wood Fire Grilled Squab, Dover Sole, Veal Tenderloin, and a decadent dessert selection. Guests may also choose to add a wine pairing to either menu option. If they would rather, diners may select the Seven Course Chef’s Tasting Menu, where they will enjoy some of Daniel’s most famous dishes. During the tasting menu, guests will begin with Four Story Hill Farm Poularde and continue with Citrus Cured Hamachi, Pacific Oysters, Grilled Ora King Salmon, Oven Roasted Squab, Wagyu Strip Loin, and finally ending with a Baked Almond, Fig Tart, and Hazelnut Infused Opalys Chocolate. For those looking for vegetarian options, Daniel offers a strictly Vegetarian Menu that changes seasonally. No matter what menu option is selected, guests of Daniel can expect an intricate presentation, impeccable service, and the robust, seasonal flavors that have made Daniel one of the best restaurants in New York.
