A Louisiana Native, Chef Donald Link began his culinary career early on in his childhood, fueled by inspiration from the Cajun and Southern cooking of his grandparents. One of the most respected and prominent Chef’s in New Orleans, Link owns and manages multiple restaurants in the area. Link’s flagship restaurant, Herbsaint, earned him a James Beard Award in 2017 for Best Chef, South, and Link was recognized by the Louisiana Restaurant Association as Restaurateur of the Year in 2012.

Opened in the Spring of 2013, Peche Seafood Grill focuses on serving simply prepared seafood dishes cooked on an open flame and offers fresh oysters, local fish and seafood. Peche prides itself on working closely with local fisherman to serve only the best seafood with a focus on sustainability. Peche offers reservations, but also has space available at its large raw oyster bar that allows for walk ins to order off the menu as well. Even with a reservation, plan to arrive early and enjoy a deliciously crafted cocktail at the bar before being seated. You can choose between wine or one of Peche’s signature cocktails such as the Little Red Corvette Mezcal drink or Pants on Fire Bourbon based cocktail. The restaurant features a comfortable atmosphere, complete with lots of reclaimed wood and modern touches, giving it an almost boathouse feel. You should definitely indulge in one of their many appetizers and bring a group as there is a lot of food to go around! The seafood platter will not disappoint and offers a tuna dip that can’t be beat. The fresh oysters are some of the best in the area, and you do not want to miss out on the Whole Grilled Redfish for the table. Grilled on an open flame, and covered with a Salsa Verde, this dish will leave your mouth watering and wondering when you will come back for more. If that wasn’t enough, don’t forget to indulge in one of Peche’s many desserts like Pineapple Rum or Salted Caramel Cake, all of which are truly decadent.
